Well battered as you can see.
Restoration:
The whole model was stripped to components. The paint was stripped from the body, it was then primed and repainted fire engine red (I think this looks more like a fire engine than mettallic red.
New ladders, backplate and hinge assembly, passenger door, locker door and a searchlight were then purchased, assembled, painted and fitted.
The water pump was stripped down and made to work again and then the whole model was re-assembled.
The only thing missing now is a replacement hose - anybody got an old one to spare?
