Dinky 108 / 102 - MG Midget (s)
2 Models (I bought 1 and was given the other one with it - good bargain)
As you can see, they were both a bit worse for wear.
Both had their windscreens missing, one had no tyres and both cars were missing part of the front bumper - opposites sides.
Both had considerable paint loss. They have both been stripped ready for restoring.
New bumpers were made using pieces of lead. A hole was drilled in the center of the bumper and the replacement piece. A thin wire was then cut and both parts joined and soldered. The lead was then filed to the correct shape.
The shell were then primed and painted - 1 in white, the other in red.
After all the detail had been painted in, new windscreens, drivers, decals and tyres were then fitted.
